Way more than a clumsy translation.(“Sanctuary for expatriated objects” seems to me to also mean “asylum for homeless objects”). There's a serious argument here—even if Knight's really lost his cool, he has a legendary sharp tongue—it's important to talk about the relationship of art to the environment in which it seen, as well as the argument about whether encyclopedic museums should break up their collections into constantly changing thematic shows. (Eeeeeeek. I'm SO too old for that concept. So, obviously is Christopher K.)
