Painting in the MailOnce a month, a fine art print leaves our atelier and enters the postal system. Roofless Postcards is a correspondence project in which a reproduction of a painting by Julio Panisello Huguet is printed as a postcard and mailed to subscribers around the world: a small work of art to hold and keep.

InspirationWe draw inspiration from mail artists who circulated work through the postal system beyond galleries, markets, and institutional gatekeeping. In the 1960s, Ray Johnson built a correspondence network, turning the mail into a decentralized exhibition space. David Wojnarowicz later used letters and mailed images as forms of intimate artistic and political exchange. At the heart of these practices is a simple belief: art can move directly between people rather than through traditional systems of display and ownership.
