Joy, by Lois Keller
12" x 16", oil on cotton paper, unframed, 2018
Lois KELLER “I was immediately drawn to the playfulness of this child. Spending time painting this portrait was a joy. I'm so honored to be able to be a part of Justice Rising to help build a school.” Lois began painting as a scenic artist, painting huge backdrops for Opera, Theatre and Ballet as well as restoring historic painted ceilings throughout the midwest. Raising kids in LA she has improved many a public school here by planting gardens and creating murals. She thinks every child should have a creative, clean and colorful environment to grow. She paints and draws on a small scale too. Her work can be seen in many local places in town including Art Share LA and on the Metro as part of the Neighborhood Poster Series. www.loiskeller.com
