Join us on Tuesday November 19, 7-9pm, at the Freehand Hotel in DTLA for a special live figure-drawing workshop on the eve of the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
Transgender bodies are beautiful. Unfortunately, transgender bodies continue to endure unimaginable violence.
We believe transphobia is partly rooted in a visual pathology. Join us in a live figure-drawing workshop with a transgender model to celebrate Art and to help set Beauty free, one drawing at a time.
This workshop is hosted in a private event space inside Freehand, includes all materials and instruction and welcome cocktails for all guests. You will leave with all of your works, proceeds of this event are being donated to THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR TRANSGENDER EQUALITY, the nation's leading social justice advocacy organization winning life-saving change for transgender people.
