Guiding our enriching retreats is Julio Panisello, an award-winning artist and educator. His achievements and accolades include graduating cum laude in Painting from the University of Barcelona, with a postgraduate degree in Pedagogy, receiving the Grand Prize and Audience Choice Award at the 2016 Los Angeles Plein Air Festival, and earning the title of Best Art Class by Los Angeles Magazine in 2021. Julio's artistic journey is distinguished by extensive exhibitions in the US, UK, Italy, and Spain. As the founder of Roofless Painters, he brings his rich experience and passion to each event. Our traveling atelier landed in one of the world's top cultural hubs. Coinciding with the gallery season kickoff and The Armory Show, we delved into NYC's vibrant art scene, exploring exhibitions and galleries citywide. Our painting journey spanned iconic locales: the High Line's Old Tree sculpture, the Guggenheim's spirals, Brooklyn Bridge, Little Island's concrete tulips, and Central Park's pastoral scenes. This adventure culminated in a pop-up exhibition at the Art House Hotel, Upper East Side, displaying our unique takes on New York's famed sights. |

Biella, Italy, June 2023
During our Italian retreat we transformed every stroke into artistic brilliance, capturing Biella's natural and historical treasures. The journey culminated in an exhibition at Palazzo Ferrero in Biella, where a curated selection of our week's work was shown and then at El Nido Art Space in Los Angeles. The essence of Italy's Piedmont region transcends boundaries through these captivating creations. We indulged in the fusion of art, history, and adventure, transcending the essence of Italy's Piemonte region though our painting fieldwork. |

Desert X, California, March 2023
We began our year embarking on a painting retreat in the inspiring Coachella Valley. We explored the striking landscapes and poignant art installations during this year's Desert X's international exhibition, combining landscape with contemporary art installations. With exclusive permission from Desert X organization, we captured the essence of each installation through live-painting sessions. Local artist Lynda Keeler generously welcomed us into her Palm Springs studio for evening sessions, while Market Market showcased our work in their meticulously curated space. It was an unforgettable experience. |

Salisbury, UK, September 2022
We painted amidst the enchanting Constable Meadows, soaked in the ethereal atmosphere of Stonehenge during the autumn solstice, and found inspiration within the tranquil cathedral cloisters. Exclusive access to Mompesson's House and Messums Wiltshire added depth to our experience. Our creative sanctuary was Sarum Studio in a beautifully preserved Queen Anne building in the cathedral close. We exhibited our work at The Vanner Gallery, a contemporary gem nestled in town. It was a retreat filled with beauty, history, spiritual awaking. |

Our studio, nestled in a mid-century building within the Winchester School of Art, provided the perfect setting for inspiration to flow.
