Painting Series: MUSHROOMS
Mushrooms do not require sunlight to make energy for themselves. They thrive in darkness, silence, isolation, away from prying eyes. Naturally, we thought using mushrooms as a painting subject could not only be beautiful but conceptually timely, considering that we were back inside our homes in December 2020. Unlike Spring, our days are much shorter now. We're actually fast approaching the shortest day of the year. We're all mushrooms.
