JULIO PANISELLO is the founder and lead art instructor at Roofless Painters. He was the recipient of the Grand Prize and Audience Choice award at the 2016 Los Angeles Plein Air Festival. He earned his BFA (cum laude) in Painting and a postgraduate degree in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona, Catalonia. He is the creator of The Havisham Hour, a multi-media, visual arts and literature project based on Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations, and Julio with a P, a collection of recorded conversations with local artists. Painting for Justice is a painting series presenting oil painting portraits created during three painting workshops at As We Dwell in March 2018, inspired by images of young kids benefiting from Justice Rising’s ongoing mission to bring education opportunities to children living in war-affected areas.
