Painted from life and on-site at the iconic Cabazon Dinosaurs, as part of our Palm Springs Painting Retreat in November 2018.
CABAZON DINOSAURS is a roadside attraction in Cabazon, CA built by sculptor and theme park artist Claude Bell in 1964. It features two steel-and-concrete dinosaurs named Dinny the Dinosaur and Mr. Rex. Located just west of Palm Springs, the 150-foot-long Brontosaurus (Dinny) and the 65-foot-tall Tyrannosaurus rex (Mr. Rex) are visible from the freeway to travelers passing by on Southern California's Interstate 10.
